Fall of the White Ship Avatar eBook Brian Daley
Here is one of the few SF books with a duo as protagonists. Sometimes, it seems Director Weir has set them on a multi-player adventure game. Starting with nothing, they acquire interesting items and players that contribute during their travels. Not always humans, or even alive.Never able to simply go from point A to point B, they meet challenges and danger again- lack of funds, assassins and hostile natives on several planets. This time, now that Hobart recovered the 'Stray', it is Alacrity's turn. Brian Daley uses imaginative solutions to get them closer to the goal. Here, Alacrity seems a man possessed; Hobart is a strong sidekick, the surprise is how he contributes while his abilities grow.
Daley's virtuosity with the English language makes even the mundane something intriguing. Without racing through a deed, he paints vivid pictures in text. Wishing to extend the series, I hope a competition can be held to continue the adventures of Hobart and Alacrity. -If only to widen the audience and create demand for reprints of the trilogy.
My wife and I have enjoyed reading this on our drives. We will fondly remember these two.

Fall of the White Ship Avatar eBook Brian Daley Reviews
The language and dialog is awkward but the tale is good. The characters change and grow a bit and he world is rich without belaboring the point.
Brian Daley manages to conclude a wonderful trilogy here. All of the important questions are answered. However if you have not read the first two books this one may end up asking more questions than it answered.
Book 3 completes the series! Such a fun romp from Brian Daley. It was a sad day that we lost him… much too early. Still a great read that is AT LAST available on . Thank you, and 'the-powers-that-be!'
I must say I have waited years to find and read this book. I was rewarded for the wait, I will say it ran alittle long in the middle but tied the ends of the other two books in this trilogy together. I just wish Brian Daley had lived to continue this as Alcarity and Hobart are well worth reading.
From Lord of The Rings to Star Wars, to Dune and Wheel of Time, I've read them all.
Escape can be lots of fun!
And nobody makes you laugh and cry like the late Brian Daley.
This was one of my favorite series when I was younger (think teenager). I had lost the hardcopies years ago and with fond remembrance began reading them again. Still an ok story (but just ok) and the characters have definitely lost depth. still a quick read and pleasant afternoon.
I bought the trilogy as they were originally released and have worn through them enough that replacement was necessary. I'm glad that makes that replacement possible.
